The Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary in Canapnapan Corella is .an organization that protects and conserves the habitat of the Tarsier. The practice of selling and destructing habitat of tarsier is also prohibited. Entering The Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary cost is only about 20 pesos. So please give a donation to help . One would experience playing and taking pictures of a tarsier. Please do not visit the Tarsier anywhere else, as they may well be just locked up in cages, which reduces the life expectance from 20 years down to just one year.

Tarsier in Bohol is also one of the reasons why many local and foreign tourists visit the province. Tarsier is a small primate weighing about 113 to 142 grams and almost fits in human fist.  Its has big fixed eyes, in it’s skull which do not turn in their sockets, but it has adapted by being able to rotate it’s head by 180 degrees. It has gray fur and almost naked tail.

They are also considered the world smallest primate and endangered species. They are most active at night and they live in  tree trunks and the roots of a bamboo. They can only be found in The Philippines on the Islands of Samar, Bohol and Mindanao.
