From Manila you can take a Bus going straight to Baguio every hour, just go to thier Bus Terminal either in Pasay and Cubao. You can choose between Aircondition or Regular Bus, the fare range from 400 to 460 pesos. All bus have two stop over for the passenger to go to the washroom. It takes about 6 hours to get to Baguio. The City began its development back in the 1900s with the arrival Americans. The American Governor Luke E Wright then gave the Architect Daniel H Burnham a renowned Urban planner a commission to develop and build a health resort for the American Military and civilian staff, so that their could rest and holiday and take that much needed rest bite . Also new roads were constructed, and today the City continues to expand and improve  with a lot of the older buildings being pulled down and new hotels are springing up all over the City.

Baguio is one of the favourite places for Summer vacations among Filipinos and foreigner because of its cool climate through out the year about 8 to 10 degrees cooler than Manila with it Pine trees forests and fresh cool breeze. It is also known because of its different people and cultures 4 major  Universities  and many institutions around the City.  As you travel up the mountains to Baguio your ears pop as if your flying, up and up to the magical  City in the Clouds .  

As you walk around the city you will see on show typical Igorot hut homes, locally made works of art and souvenirs are also on sale. Getting around Baguio is easy as there is plenty  of taxis which start at 20 pesos , you could even rent a car and driver for the day with out breaking the Bank, Baguio has plenty of Hotels to meet all budgets, starting from as low as 1,200 pesos per night, At night there is loads of pleases to eat at, also plenty of night life with discos and pubs with live music and disco dancing,  yes Baguio is a place not to be missed when visiting the Philippines.

Baguio City is known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines the northern  central part of Luzon called  Cordillera Administrative Region(CAR). It is one of the highly elevated places in CAR together with Benguet,  Mountain Province and Ifugao. It has a population of a bout 300,000 with 65% under the age of 30 years.  People admire its abundant mineral resources like Gold, Copper, Silver and Zinc.
